★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just a 5 all around. There’s is nowhere in Rio that I recommend more frequently than Lilia. The food is delicious, the building is unique and cool, the dishes the food is served on are beautiful, and the price for all of this can’t be beat. I’ve been back multiple times already, and everyone I’ve brought has loved it and, in turn, brought other friends to check it out. The menu is small but always includes a meat, fish and vegetarian option for the main course and at least one vegetarian option for the other courses. It’s a great excuse to venture out of the Zona Sul and a great option for lunch on the way to or from SDU airport or the Cathedral nearby. The last time I went, we arrived and there was a line of three tables waiting in front of us and we were seated within 5-10 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was recommended Lilia's from someone who's in the business and he was absolutely right - this is one of the best restaurants in town! The menu changes frequently but the theme seems to be fresh ingredients with subtle but still flavorful sauces. It's a real gem and worth visiting!
Edit: came back a couple weeks later and not only was it a completely different menu but the dishes were even better! How do I give it a sixth star?!
