★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the busiest places in Rio de Janeiro. If you want to see trains with bullets in the Windows, here is your best chance to find some. If you want to see how it looks if 300 people storm one Train, be there between 1730-1800. Living now since 7 years in Rio and got "surprised" to see that quasi fight for a Seat. Never expected this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Brazil's main train station, worthwhile a visit! Station is very clean and integrated to the subway. Very close to Campo de Santana a 200 year old french style park with lakes fountains and free roaming animals in downtown. Get off at Central subway station.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Art Deco building is a major transport hub. The visit while in Rio is not at all a must. I went because I love to visit places that were the setting of movies. “Central do Brasil” a Walter sales movie from the 90’s had some scenes shot there, that’s the reason why I went.
