★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a terrible experience. WiFi does not work, I think they still use dial up system and is extremely slow. Don't count on it if you have to work online. The bathroom was filthy with lots of mildew between tiles. Cable TV is a joke, it has half dozen of channels and the TV itself looks like a 20" monitor that was hanged in a big wall. Swimming pool is closed without any explanation. The breakfast is mediocre and served in adjacent bar. It is not worthy staying here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good hotel, rooms and service with a nice quality. The WiFi in the rooms works terrible, or don’t work. From Thursday to Saturday it’s always a lot of noise until 2pm because of the bar downstairs, better stay on the top floors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for Carnival and loved it. The hotel is located centrally in Ipanema and it includes a lovely breakfast in the room rate. It is a nice hotel for a solo traveller or for someone on a business trip. No swimming pools or excessive amenities but very clean and comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The rooms are really old and definitely need maintenance. The bathroom was dirty with lime all over. It almost seemed they didn't clean the room at all before I went into the room.
Towels are old.
Linen was dirty.
The breakfast is a real shame! The place is way too small for the size of the hotel. No cups for coffee. Dirty tables. Almost no variety of food.
Two barely working elevators, which are really slow, loud and seem to not work properly.
Definitely don't recommend staying here!

The hotel is located in a convenient part of Ipanema with many restaurants and stores nearby, it is within walking distance of the beach too. The onsite restaurant is lovely, and my room was great. Very clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the city. No issues with WIFI either. Thank you, Evan, and Mar Ipanema Hotel!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the worst experiences i had in my life staying in hotel.
Noise everywhere, thin walls all day long. Internet that doesnt work.
Basic brekfast.
And staff that doesnt respect the customer . I have filed complaints regarding the internet that i need for my work , and was never answred propertly like "we have iasue in all the area" , but down at the coffee all was good.
