Oque me fez ir atrás da Metrópolis no Méier e meu amigo que loja, tem um acervo enorme, cheio de quadrinhos antigos e resgate que você só acharia em Sebos perdidos no mundo.
Os atendentes são super simpáticos, o Thales e a Momo são uma graça.
Sempre quando vou lá eu levo uma graninha extra porque sempre sei que vou achar algo que queria e a muito tempo não acho.
Como um dos fregueses falou e ressalto, É O MAIOR PATRIMÔNIO GEEK CARIOCA QUE TEMOS!

What made me go after Metropolis in Méier and my friend who shop, has a huge collection, full of old comics and rescue that you would only find in Sebos lost in the world.
The attendants are super friendly, Thales and Momo are cute.
Whenever I go there I take an extra bag because I always know that I will find something I wanted and I haven't found it for a long time.
As one of the customers said and I point out, IT IS THE GREATEST HERITAGE GEEK CARIOCA WE HAVE!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A metrópolis é, sem sombra de dúvidas, o paraíso otaku/geek no Rio de Janeiro. Embora o ambiente seja extremamente aconchegante e absolutamente completo com mangas, HQs, livros, cardgames, figures e tudo mais que você possa imaginar, o grande diferencial desse paraíso é o atendimento.
O carinho, o respeito e o cuidado que a Momo e o Tales transbordam pros clientes da loja é tão incrível que parecem ter saído diretamente de histórias fictícias. Sou cliente da loja há mais de duas décadas e não apenas fui sempre tratado de forma maravilhosa por ambos (a momo tem um papel anotado com as séries que coleciono e sempre me liga pra avisar quando chegam novos volumes <3), como também presenciei experiências sensacionais com diversos clientes, conhecidos meus ou não.
Infelizmente o Google permite avaliar a nota máxima apenas como 5 estrelas, mas dentro desse parâmetro afirmo com tranquilidade que a nota da metrópolis deveria ser pelo menos 1000 estrelas. Me considero muito sortudo por morar próximo da loja e tê-la conhecido tão cedo, e recomendo a todos que puderem: visitem a loja e verifiquem de fato o meu relato e o de tantos outros aqui.
Muito obrigado Tales e Momo por essa loja incrível e por serem essas pessoas incríveis. Sem dúvidas vocês tornam a vida das pessoas muito melhor com o trabalho sensacional que vocês fazem.
The metropolis is, without a shadow of a doubt, the otaku/geek paradise in Rio de Janeiro. Although the environment is extremely cozy and absolutely complete with sleeves, comics, books, cardgames, figures and everything else you can imagine, the biggest difference in this paradise is the service.
The affection, respect and care that Momo and Tales overflow to the store's customers is so incredible that they seem to have come straight from fictional stories. I have been a customer of the store for over two decades and not only have I always been treated wonderfully by both of them (momo has an annotated paper with the series I collect and always calls me to let me know when new volumes arrive <3), but I have also witnessed experiences sensational with several clients, acquaintances of mine or not.
Unfortunately, Google only allows you to rate the maximum score as 5 stars, but within that parameter I can safely say that the metropolis score should be at least 1000 stars. I consider myself very lucky to live close to the store and have met her so early, and I recommend to everyone who can: visit the store and actually check my account and that of so many others here.
Thank you so much Tales and Momo for this amazing store and for being such amazing people. No doubt you make people's lives much better with the amazing work you do.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uma das coisas que mais gosto de morar no Méier é poder ir a pé até essa loja. Minha namorada frequenta desde criança e agora a gente vai com a nossa filha lá. Os atendentes são ótimos e sempre tem tudo que eu preciso. Amo muito.
One of the things I like most about living in Méier is being able to walk to this store. My girlfriend has been going there since she was a child and now we go there with our daughter. The attendants are great and always have everything I need. Love much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Acho legal ter esse tipo de loja no Méier, porém a minha primeira impressão foi a pior possível. Entrei com meu marido e perguntei de uma HQ. O rapaz que estava no balcão simplesmente falou "pfffff, boa sorte para encontrar" e uma outra moça fez um gesto querendo dizer que essa HQ não tem mais tiragem.
Não é desse jeito que se tratam os clientes. Minha pergunta pode ter sido tola, mas eu não tenho esse tipo de conhecimento. Foi uma simples pergunta que poderiam ter respondido educadamente dizendo que não se vende mais, porém preferiram ser arrogantes e soberbos.
I think it's cool to have this type of store in Méier, but my first impression was the worst possible. I went in with my husband and asked about a comic book. The guy who was at the counter simply said "pfffff, good luck finding it" and another girl made a gesture to say that this comic is out of print.
That's not how they treat customers. My question may have been silly, but I don't have that kind of knowledge. It was a simple question that they could have answered politely by saying that they no longer sell, but they preferred to be arrogant and haughty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A loja é ótima. A estética do ambiente é clássica e aconchegante. As obras disponíveis são diversas e de qualidade (hqs, mangás, figures etc). O atendimento é no ponto certo: o cliente tem seu espaço para poder explorar, mas conta com atensiosidade e disposição dos anfitriões; inclusive, contei com auxílio para buscar obras difíceis de encontrar, por já estarem esgotadas. Diante disso, minha mais forte recomendação. Além disso, é muito importante fortalecermos a continuidade destes espaços.
The store is great. The aesthetics of the environment is classic and cozy. The available works are diverse and of high quality (comics, mangas, figures etc). The service is on point: the client has his own space to explore, but he counts on the attentiveness and willingness of the hosts; I even had help to look for works that were difficult to find, as they were already out of print. With that in mind, my strongest recommendation. In addition, it is very important to strengthen the continuity of these spaces.
