Fundada em 1970, em uma época que quase não existiam restaurantes especializados em frutos do mar em São Paulo, o Mexilhão se tornou referência para àqueles que não dispensam um excelente e delicioso prato elaborado com o que há de melhor no ramo. Como exemplo de qualidade e tradição, todos os ingredientes são selecionados, preparados e servidos com o mesmo nível e cuidado que mantém a casa desde o início. O restaurante, desde sua inauguração, pertence a mesma família e a maioria de seus funcionários trabalham juntos há mais de 10 anos. A chef de cozinha é considerada o grande diferencial do restaurante. Mirka Helene, uma francesa que há 38 anos cuida e comanda todas as criações tradicionais, mas com algumas pitadas de inovação. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Expensive but constantly has deals, juices are quite expensive but in huge cups, the food comes in good quantities, and all is very good. I would always skip the couvert and maybe consider an appetizer. The main dishes are definitely the stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over 100 reais for a piece of badejo (sea bass) filet, which is completely overcooked and dry is a scandal. The steamed vegetables were ok but bland. No sauce at all for the dry fish. My ten year old niece can cook better than that...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazingly tasty sea food specialties from São Paulo, Brasil! Had fish balls with some enchanted hot sauce, to which I only wish I had the recipe... Also had giant shrimp with a few local sides (palm hearts, potatoes Mediterranean style, and grilled pineapple with olive).
Everything tasted great, the service was impecable, and the restaurant neat and clean.
Highly recommended for someone looking to enjoy a good selection of sea food in São Paulo.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice fish and seafood Restaurant brazilian style in a save area of Sao Paulo. Friendly, kind service. The fish soup was really authentic. The seafood platter with fish and seafood was a bit too long grilled and so the food for me a bit too dry.
