Foi fundada pelo médico baiano Dr. Antonio José da Costa Leite, que liderou a campanha pública para a sua construção e a orientou por toda a vida.
A partir de 2014, a Santa Casa passou a abrigar o Hospital Unimed.
Misericórdia Botucatuense began to be planned in the late nineteenth century. Originally built to provide relief and health to patients in extreme poverty.
It was founded by the Bahian physician Dr. Antonio José da Costa Leite, who led the public campaign for its construction and guided it throughout his life.
As of 2014, Santa Casa started to house the Hospital Unimed.
