★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fui em 2019 com meus amigos para Paraty, chegamos, deixamos nossas coisas, e fomos tomar nosso café da manhã na Padaria Portal do Pão. Simplesmente o pão na chapa com requeijão mais perfeito que todos nós 6 já comemos em nossas curtas porém vividas vidas. Esse pão na chapa após 2 anos ainda é comentado, relembrado, e constantemente tentamos copiá-lo, mas ainda não conseguimos. O pão na chapa desse lugar é um ponto turístico à parte. Super recomendo!
In 2019 I went to Paraty with my friends, arrived, left our things, and went to have breakfast at the Padaria Portal do Pão. Simply the most perfect bread on the grill with curd cheese that all 6 of us have eaten in our short but lived lives. This bread on the plate after 2 years is still talked about, remembered, and we constantly try to copy it, but we still can't. The bread on the grill in this place is a tourist attraction in itself. I highly recommend it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apesar de você chegar e não ter pão, e perguntar quando sai a próxima fornada e receber a resposta que as 16hrs já está tarde de mais para colocar uma nova fornada, o pão de lá é bom!
Even though you arrive and don't have bread, and ask when the next batch comes out and receive the answer that at 4 pm it's too late to put a new batch, the bread there is good!

Frequento há muitos anos, não diariamente, mas vamos sempre. Até hoje, dia 29/4/2022, o procedimento era pedir no balcão, sentar, comer e depois ir ao caixa pagar. Hoje meu filho de 16 anos, que quase nunca vai, entrou sozinho, ficou por ali olhando a vitrine. Quando entrei ele já estava no caixa para fazer o pedido e pagar pois assim lhe foi dito no balcão. Cheguei junto e vi que enquanto ele ainda estava indeciso sobre o pedido, o moço logo atrás pagou O QUE JÁ HAVIA CONSUMIDO. Observei que várias outras pessoas também pediram direto no balcão pra pagar depois. Aliás, TODAS que pude ver tiveram esse tratamento. (O pedido dele, uma coisa simples, saiu DEPOIS de vários lanches de pessoas que chegaram depois (e pediram direto no balcão)). Estava atrasadíssima e só depois que saí, percebi atentamente o que havia acontecido. Meu filho é NEGRO e o nome disso sei bem qual é.

For those who don't care, go!
Been going for many years, not daily, but we go often. Until today, 4/29/2022, the procedure was to order at the counter, sit down, eat and then go to the cashier to pay. Today my 16-year-old son, who almost never goes, went in alone, stood around looking at the window. When I entered he was already at the cashier to order and pay as he was told so at the counter. I arrived along and saw that while he was still undecided about the order, the guy right behind paid WHAT HAD ALREADY CONSUMED. I noticed that several other people also ordered directly at the counter to pay later. In fact, EVERYONE I could see had this treatment. (His order, a simple thing, came out AFTER several snacks from people who arrived later (and ordered straight at the counter)). I was very late and it was only after I left that I realized carefully what had happened. My son is BLACK and the name of it I know well what it is.
