Great fame as it surfs Mani restaurant celebrity, but the expectations were far from what we experienced. The bread selection was ok, the jelly was good, and the omelette was tasty. On the other hand offering Nespresso was a sim that could not be forgiven at the country of coffee. Mani Padova could be more creative in it's offers and definitely needs real espresso to live to the expectations.

Although Helena Rizzo studied architecture in college her career took an unexpected turn in 1997, a cook position yielding internships with names such as Troisgros and the Roca brothers that finally led to her opening Mani in 2006. Since building her name and empire slowly, a total of four Restaurants including two Bakeries now flying Chef Rizzo’s flag, it is from Padoca do Mani that all Breads for the Michelin-starred flagship have been baked since 2015, the space itself also drawing a crowd from 08h00 daily. Located in Jardim Paulistano, Rua Joaquim Antunes 138 just a few doors from Mani itself, guests will find the space largely unlabeled and unassuming, covered outdoor seats welcoming perhaps two-dozen diners while the interior features standing space along with a friendly staff busy preparing Sandwiches, Salads, Coffee and an abundance of Baked Goods. Locally focused and largely organic, the volume of business assuring freshness but also generating lengthy waits for anything served above room temperature, it was perhaps twenty minutes after seating that a tray featuring three items was served, an Affogato proving there is no such thing as “too early” for Ice Cream or Nutella while Bread sold for 13 Real was unfortunately quite dry for something labeled Brioche until it was slathered with Honey. Partially impressed by the daily Empada, this one featuring melted Cheese plus Pumpkin and Sweet Corn inside buttery Pastry that was unfortunately a bit flaccid, sweets fortunately saw Padoca do Mani shine brightly, first a square of Cornbread that eats sweet and wet like Tres Leches, then the Carrot Cake that one-ups America by replacing traditional Cream Cheese Frosting with Dulce de Leche.

We were lucky enough to pick this place on our first morning in Sao Paolo. Beautiful little place for breakfast with a great selection. Amazing scrambled eggs, coffee and smoothies. Great cake counter and fresh bread bakery. Their house bread is lovely and you can also get wholewheat and granary loaves.

Great place to get breakfast. The bread is delicious and the portions are good. Very friendly waiters too. We arrived with our 2 year old and immediately they got some colouring book and crayons to entertain her. The juices are good too. I had too much breakfast so took a piece of chocolate pie home which turned out to be delicious! Some waiters speak English which is helpful!

Great place to taste the different shapes of Brazil Bakery. The place unify the classic brazilian Padoca with the more international taste for few dishes. But there are traditional cassava cake. The pao de queijo is great and a must try. The café padoca is a great example of a breakfast in a Brazilian house besides the scramble eggs. The requeijao, fruit salad, orange juice and an amazing selection of breads. If you are visiting Brazil for the first time, please try the pouvilho with requeijao, is a signature of the Mani restaurants. They have nespresso machine for the espresso coffee unfortunately, I recommend ask for the dripping coffee that they use a blend sold in the house.

A small cafe/ bakery with a rustic vibe. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The brunch here is great. Many of the food options are clean and healthy. They offer an number of vegan and vegetarian options. They also have a number of fresh juices available. As it is a bakery they have a selection of pastries, I can highly recommend the pain au chocolat. They also have fresh bread which is baked throughout the day. There is also a mini shop that sells a number of things from chocolates to olive oils, ice creams to fresh meat. I highly recommend this place, it is one of the best brunches in São Paulo

I wasn't expecting the tasting menu from Maní (obviously) but I definitely expected more from one of Helena Rizzo's restaurants. I know that Padoca is the more casual of the three restaurants with more accessable pricing and dining experience, but at the very least I would think the dishes would be well seasoned and delicious. We ordered the mini polvilho with the house made coalhada (sour cream). The alternative choice was an industrialized requeijão, a surprise they would even serve an industrialized cheese like that, but their sour cream was very good. We also had the Rosbife de filet mignon which came with a warm potato salad and lettuce with what was supposed to be a dijon dressing. The filet mignon was dry and chewy. The potato salad was better the next day, we brought the leftovers home and added sea salt and butter which brought out the flavor of the herbs. We did ask for salt at the restaurant but they only had iodized table salt in little paper packets. The soup of the day was pretty good. It was a creamy potato leek soup with their house bread. Tasted like it had homemade chicken broth and the bread seemed to be naturally fermented and was covered in seeds. We brought home a slice of gluten-free chocolate hazelnut cake that was moist and surprisingly good after the meal we had. The service was good, and the space is cute and on trend, although it's a very small space inside and even though there's a lot of interesting added value products to buy like the Maní olive oil and some good looking coffees and ghee, we couldn't even shop because all the products are on shelves in the hallway entrance and standing there to look at products blocks the flow of people entering and exiting the restaurant. I think we will try again for breakfast-I really want to love the food.

Great place to have a breakfast. Really good food quality and friendly hipster atmosphere in and out. Only two cons are: as usual the waiters doesn’t speak English, they add service to the bill but you can choose not to pay it. Overall nice place, worth checking out.
