★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great day of paddling in the bay with Michael. We did a 4-5 hour tour and visited some beautiful beaches and islands not too far from the city, and passed through a crab filled mangrove on the way back. The kayaks were top quality, and really glided through the water, much better than the standard models available to rent on the beach. The tour was really professional as well but without feeling like a tour. Michael always asked the group what they wanted to do, and gave us many options so it was was real nice and laid back. He also knows a lot about the local fauna and was able to name all the birds and other creatures we encountered along the way. He also had some great stories about Paraty and the local legends. If you want to discover what Harry Potter and a little secluded beach have in common, then Michael is your guy! Definitely a highlight in Paraty. (Went in March 2020)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic kayak tour. Stunning scenery and Michael is a fountain of knowledge on local culture. My one regret is that I didn't find him earlier so I could have gone on some of his other tours. Next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were a group of 4 adults and were joined by 2 other clients on a 3 day kayak trip to Mamangua with Michael. The trip was amazing....we stay in the same accommodation in Mamangua for both nights. This allowed us to spend the first day paddling there from Paraty and the following day do a hike up Sugarloaf and also paddle to the end of the Mamangua, where we paddled through mangroves and up a river for a hike and wonderful swim. The third day we paddled back to Paraty. The weather was really good, although we did have a bit of wind blowing--which made for a tiring last few kilometers of paddling on the first day! We had great food, amazing views from the kayaks and on the hikes and great company! Michael is an awesome guide....he is so knowledgable about the area and shared a lot of information and stories with us. The whole trip felt very relaxed and comfortable. We paddled a lot of km, but had many breaks (with snacks!!!) as well as lunches en route. I recommend this trip highly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paraty Explorer is an awesome tour for people who wish to discover the beauty and marine live in paraty. Michael leads the tour and explain many biological and cultural details and curiosities. We paddled for three hours and the best part of the tour was in the mangrove.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did the Kayak tour with Michael. I would definitely recommend it. Michael is very nice and experienced and you will really enjoy this tour “out of the standard touristy paths”. Michael is also very helpful for setting up other activities in the area. You can trust him for making the best of your stay in Paraty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a fantastic on the 2 day kayak tour from Paraty with Michael. All the kit and instruction was good. The coastline was amazing and stayed in a great remote hostel after the first day. We paddled past endless quiet beaches and enjoyed the mangrove.
