Além de ser um marco arquitetônico, e histórico da cidade, também abriga obras de artes de diversos artistas de toda a região, porém, em especial, a exposição permanente dos irmãos Ponce Paz (que dão nome ao local); além disso, de tempos em tempos, há novas exposições temporárias!
Segundo as informações que tive, a casa passou por reformas e restaurações que permitiram o resgate de afrescos das paredes e teto, que mostram todo o esforço dos artistas na construção da casa (um sinal de que, além de atualmente ter um valor inestimável, com certeza na época da sua construção já era bela e única)
