★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don't use Piratas da Praia for coworking!!! It really isn't accurate to advertise this as a coworking space... it's a backpackers hostel with the typical facilities but definitely without the professional atmosphere of a coworking space. The internet was incredibly iffy and unfortunately the signal wasn't any better than what I have at home (I live in Recife and came because I had important meetings and interviews online). I wasn't able to participate fully in my meeting because of the sub-par connectivity. There was music playing loudly in the background, there weren't a lot of outlets, and as far as I know, there wasn't anyone else there coworking. If you utilize this service based on what you see on their website, your expectations will not be met. I let the staff know that the internet wasn't working sufficiently to meet the needs of people coworking. I told them about my meetings and that I wasn't able to do the work that needed to be done due to the spotty wifi. I received neither an apology nor a discount.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Que buena onda ! The hostel is really beautiful with all these paintings and the commun rooms are really made to make you feel comfortable anytime. The cleanest hostel i've stayed in brazil! wonderful and friendly team ! Would definitely recommend ! !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is great, supermarkets and coffee shops nearby. It also stays 1 block away from the shore. You won't find a better place for a better price. The staff is very helpful and give you really good advice on where to go and what to see on the city. The surroundings felt really safe as well. I recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a cute, relaxing, fun place to be! My first time in a hostel and I enjoyed it so much! You can meet people from all over the world (we met a Swiss, a couple of French, a Mexican guy, a man from Spain, girls from Colombia and a lot of Brazilians of different cities) and discover more about their cultures. The staff is great, very attentive and pleasant people. They have WiFi, bedrooms with air conditioner, hot showers, equiped kitchen and very clean bathrooms. I haven't felt uncomfortable and knowing that they are recommended by hostel institutions and rating services (such as Trivago and Foursquare) was a relief. Oh, it's also very cheap to stay here and you can be a volunteer!
