★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mais conhecida como Praça dos Leões, otimo lugar para caminhar e tem eventos que são realizados pelo Bar Lions e Levam diversas pessoas geralmente as sextas ou sábados a noite. Porém quando nao ha eventos e totalmente deserta aos finais de semana. Vale o cuidado.
Better known as Praça dos Leões, a great place to walk and has events that are held by the Lions Bar and take several people usually on Fridays or Saturdays at night. However, when there are no events, it is totally deserted on weekends. Worth the care.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A praça é bonita, bem a cara do centro de Fortaleza, bem histórica. Mas com o porém de que é podre. O cheiro de urina é muito forte! A praça tá pintada, tá bem bonita, mas não é esse tipo de cuidado que está precisando. É de limpeza da boa, pra ter uma ar puro de praça mesmo!
The square is beautiful, right in the center of Fortaleza, very historic. But with the fact that it is rotten. The smell of urine is very strong! The square is painted, it's pretty, but it's not that kind of care that you need. It is good cleaning, to have a clean air of the square!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ próximo ao museu do Ceará, no centro de Fortaleza, a praça é popularmente conhecida como praça dos leões por conta das enormes estátuas de bronze do animal lá presente. é um local histórico na cidade. nela há uma estátua de Rachel de Queiroz. em volta da praça há várias livrarias, pra quem procura comprar livros de estudo esse é um bom lugar para se buscar.
close to the Ceará museum, in the center of Fortaleza, the square is popularly known as the lion's square due to the huge bronze statues of the animal present there. it is a historic place in the city. it contains a statue of Rachel de Queiroz. around the square there are several bookstores, for those looking to buy study books this is a good place to look.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De todas as áreas verdes que conheci no centro de Fortaleza, a Praça General Tiburcio, foi uma das que mais me chamou a atenção, além do Passeio Público. A praça, inaugurada em 1856, se destaca não só pela exuberância do verde que domina a praça, dando-lhe muita sombra, como também pelos leões (a praça também é conhecida como a Praça dos Leões) e pela estátua da escritora Raquel de Queiróz. No centro da mesma, há um monumento a Gal. Tibúrcio. A Igreja Nossa Sra. do Rosário, de 1730, a mais antiga de Fortaleza fica ao lado, perto dos leões. No outro lado da praça, há uma escadaria que dá acesso à rua em direção à Catedral Metropolitana
Of all the green areas I saw in the center of Fortaleza, Praça General Tiburcio was one of the ones that caught my attention, besides the Passeio Público. The square, inaugurated in 1856, stands out not only for the exuberance of the green that dominates the square, giving it plenty of shade, but also for the lions (the square is also known as the Praça dos Leões) and the statue of the writer Raquel de Queiróz . In the center of it, there is a monument to Gal. Tiburcio. The Nossa Sra. Do Rosário Church, from 1730, the oldest in Fortaleza is next door, close to the lions. On the other side of the square, there is a staircase that leads to the street towards the Metropolitan Cathedral

É uma praça muito querida por mim. Localizada entre a Rua São Paulo e a Igreja do Rosário (a primeira de Fortaleza), a praça acolhe transeuntes, turistas e trabalhadores da região. Nos limites dela, encontramos o tradicional bar Lion's e o Museu de Fortaleza. A praça é ornada por algumas esculturas. Na sua entrada principal (na esquina da rua São Paulo com a rua Conde d'Eu) há uma emblemática escultura de um leão lutando com uma serpente. A estátua da escritora Rachel de Queiroz e de vários leões e leoas também estão lá. Próximo ao coreto está a academia cearense de letras.
Statue in honor of General Tibúrcio, who gives the square its name.
It is a place that is very dear to me. Located between Rua São Paulo and Igreja do Rosário (the first in Fortaleza), the square welcomes passers-by, tourists and workers from the region. At its limits, we find the traditional Lion's bar and the Fortaleza Museum. The square is decorated with some sculptures. At its main entrance (at the corner of Rua São Paulo and Rua Conde d'Eu) there is an emblematic sculpture of a lion fighting a snake. The statue of writer Rachel de Queiroz and several lions are also there. Next to the bandstand is the Ceará academy of letters.
