★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is definitely worth a try once you're already headed to the Sugar Loaf. There are some very interesting landmarks in this place, which make this place perfect for a group photo or something. You can also feel very safe in here, since it's located in a kind of military area. Plus, you can go to the beach right in front of the plaza and buy some typical coconut water. The beach, however, might not be so safe for young kids because of the constant high tide. By the way, don't forget to bring your camera!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic location of a large statue situated near a beautiful beach next to sugar loaf mountain. Absolutely fantastic views of the ocean and mountain combined. While there in the afternoon close to sunset on Saturday, quite a few street food vendors set up shop with music playing nearby. Easy access to the trail head for sugar loaf mountain as well.
