What an experience ! Really, really great food in a very modern setting, which is in great contrast with the outdoor Unesco world heritage decor of the town of Paraty. When visiting this incredible nice town, not too far from Rio, I would really recommend this restaurant.

Firstly, when I asked a table for ONE, three people had to talk among themselves to then invite me in. The table offered was outside and the night was a bit chilly, they did not seem to care. But for the first time after many times in Paraty either alone or not I was having a bad tiMe with restaurants. So, I took the place offered and did comment they had issue to accepted single customer, the person gave me a shy - shallow smile. Only offers bottles of wine (no glasses which would certainly be a plus), food was good but not remarkable considering the prices. I ordered a dish called “mexidinho”, shrimp perfectly cooked while the calamari was not, indeed felt like chewing a rubber so that I had to ask for a napkin to get rid of it. Black rice a bit salty. Desert overall good not overwhelming. Bottom line, pricey more than excellent food. Also, I’ve paid good money to them so lesson would be, single people can spend good so just invite them in like any other customer.

Schizophrenic menu... The pricing is not consistent across the menu, you may pay less than 20 Brl for a great Capitinha (average), from 25 to 40 in a series of great appetisers (almost cheap) and almost a 100 for a poorly executed main course (really expensive). So, go there, have a drink, some appetisers and enjoy the great atmosphere and sophisticated space.

My partner and I were visiting Parati for the 6th time and wanted to have dinner at this place again, after a few years hiatus from traveling. We stopped by after a hike to ask for reservations and I swear I have NEVER been treated so poorly by a restaurant’s staff in my life. If a restaurant in NY, Boston, SF, or any self respecting place ever treated potential customers like that, they would have a law suit to follow. The manager stared us down and said that at that point there were no reservations available. The other employee tried to seem accommodating and said they would put us on a waiting list and call us after 7pm. 7pm came and went so we stopped by to inquire at 7:30. The restaurant was EMPTY. They told us that we would have to wait to be called. We ended up eating elsewhere and afterwards we walked by this establishment - 9:30pm - to find it half full. They called us at 10:30.

Modern flavoursome Brazilian. Our evening didn't start in the best way as two of the wines chosen weren't available but everything went back on track when service started and the wine alternative was fine too. Mixed seafood with black rice and Robalo in banana crust, both suggested by our waiter, were superb and very rich in taste. Service was friendly and attentive. The young fella (Renato?) from São Paulo was very knowledgeable and looked after us in an exceptional way. Dining room has a modern and slick layout with light colour timber largely in use. Do not miss this place! :)

The service was good, but the food is lack lustre. Ceviche lacked a balance of flavour that one would expect. The bacalhau (Cod) was bland and quite salty, with nothing to take away the saltiness. The camarão crocante (crispy shrimp) was good except for the bed of couscous and lentils it was served on. The restaurant is well appointed and the ambience is very good. Our meals did not represent good value.

(3.7) The restaurant serves also inside the hotel but I will review that as part of the hotel. The service is attentive but very slow the food is good and drinks are ok wine is over prized. it does not wow but the place is agreeable

A very chic and elegant interior design. The owner spoke perfect English and was very accomodating - she explained the dishes with great detail and perplexity. Some of the food concepts were very unique and intruiging. The thing that amazed me most was that the restaurant had it's own mini allotment neary where they grow a lot of the vegetables used in the dishes. This was very apparent in the freshness of the food. I would recommend this place.
