★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A praça é bem arborizada, mas achei um pouco abandonada e suja em alguns pontos. Tinham muitos moradores de rua e tive a sensação de insegurança. Tem um monumento muito belo no centro, com uma estátua de Dom Pedro II no alto. Tem uns poucos equipamentos para crianças brincarem e muitos poucos bancos para sentar. Como fica no caminho entre a Igreja da Sé e o Mercado Ver-o-Peso, vale a pena passar rapidamente para olhar o monumento ao Centro. Não recomendo andar por ali à noite, pois acredito não ser seguro.
 The square is well wooded, but I found it a little abandoned and dirty in some places. There were many homeless people and I had a feeling of insecurity. It has a very beautiful monument in the center, with a statue of Dom Pedro II at the top. It has a few equipment for children to play and very few benches to sit on. As it is on the way between the Igreja da Sé and the Ver-o-Peso Market, it is worth passing quickly to look at the monument to the Center. I do not recommend walking around at night, as I believe it is not safe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A praça é linda, arborizada, tem monumentos históricos, mas um pouco deserta. É bom sempre estar acompanhado e em alerta por conta de assaltos. Atualmente a praça se encontra limpa e no domingo pela parte da tarde pude presenciar guardas no local.
The square is beautiful, tree-lined, has historical monuments, but a little deserted. It's good to always be accompanied and on alert for robberies. Currently, the square is clean and on Sunday afternoon I was able to witness guards there.
