★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've had Indian food in quite a few countries and including food prepared by Indian chefs. The Taj Mahal restaurant is easy up there with the good ones. They have a really cosy and inviting atmosphere and the service is superb. The staff are really friendly and accommodating.
The variety on the menu isn't too big but what they do offer is really well prepared. Pricing is reasonable.
Definitely a 5 star option in Rio.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an expensive Indian restaurant. The food is good, although I think they adapted too much to Brazilian taste that the food could be called almost bland - I had to add pepper. We stayed outside at the porch, the tables inside had all been booked to a large group of Indians that arrived after us, so I cannot comment on the decor. I was thirsty after desert, and I had to ask three times to have water brought to me - maybe the large group taxed the staff, but the experience could be nicer. If the tab was half of what it was then it would merit five stars. For what I paid I expected better service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Being an Indian myself I would give it a 3 rating as per the taste and authenticity. If you want to enjoy Indian food this is the best one in Rio. Had Pulao and Navaratna Korma, very much Indian dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never been in India, so far, but I had the opportunity to taste some indian foods in different cities around the world, and I was very glad when I discovered that one of the best restaurant that I have ever been is placed in my own city. Unfortunately, because of the pandemic, I couldn't visit the Taj Mahal restaurant during the last years, but I had a very good surprise when i came back there and saw that the place is now even better. They have nice options of vegetarian meals with different degrees of spiciness. The staff is very atentious and the cheff is a very nice person, who gave us so much informations about the cuisine, culture, and places to visit in India. I definitely plan to visit the restaurant again, and hopefully, also the real Taj Mahal in a near future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food!!! They have so many different options. There is also many vegetarian options which can be made vegan! I would 100% recommend. The best indian food i have ever had. The lime juice is also a must if you are overwhelmed by rio’s heat ??
