★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar tranquilo pra tomar uma cervejinha, água de côco, andar de bicicleta ou bater papo. A vista é agradável. O único problema é que em alguns lugares o chão tem muito lixo, e catinga de mijo por trás do monumento. Algumas pessoas às vezes usam drogas por lá, o que deixa um pouco desagradável. E tbm tem bêbados incomodando uma hora ou outra pedindo dinheiro. Coisas que poderiam melhorar, por isso 4 estrelas.
Quiet place to have a beer, coconut water, ride a bike or chat. The view is nice. The only problem is that in some places the ground has a lot of rubbish, and piss splatters behind the monument. Some people sometimes do drugs there, which makes it a little uncomfortable. And there are also drunks bothering them at one time or another asking for money. Things that could improve, so 4 stars.

Os Tropeiros da Borborema são um marco na nossa história, onde as estátuas foram trazidas do Rio de Janeiro e apresentam três figuras que ajudaram a criar a cidade. O índio representa o início de tudo(civilização). A catadora de algodão faz referência à 'Era do Ouro Branco' de Campina Grande, quando o município se tornou o segundo maior exportador de algodão do mundo. E o tropeiro presta homenagem à vocação comerciária da cidade.

The Tropeiros da Borborema are a landmark in our history, where the statues were brought from Rio de Janeiro and feature three figures who helped to create the city. The Indian represents the beginning of everything (civilization). The cotton picker refers to the 'White Gold Era' of Campina Grande, when the municipality became the second largest cotton exporter in the world. And the tropeiro pays homage to the commercial vocation of the city.

Localizado na orla do Açude Velho, ao lado do Parque da Criança, o Monumento Os Pioneiros da Borborema foi inaugurado em 1964 em comemoração ao Centenário da Cidade de Campina Grande.
Essa belíssima obra constituída de três estátuas em pedra ilustra a criação e desenvolvimento da cidade: A primeira, a figura do Índio, representa o início... onde tudo começou... A segunda, a figura da catadora de algodão, representa a era em que Campina Grande foi o segundo maior exportador do mundo de algodão, conhecido como ouro branco... E a terceira, a figura do Tropeiro, que representa a vocação comercial do lugar.
As três estátuas estão fixadas no alto de uma rampa simbolizando o crescimento evolutivo da cidade.
Vale a pena conferir este atrativo turístico.

Located on the edge of the Açude Velho, next to the Parque da Criança, the Os Pioneiros da Borborema Monument was inaugurated in 1964 in celebration of the Centenary of the City of Campina Grande.
This beautiful work consisting of three stone statues illustrates the creation and development of the city: The first, the figure of the Indian, represents the beginning ... where it all started ... The second, the figure of the cotton picker, represents the era in which Campina Grande was the second largest exporter in the world of cotton, known as white gold ... and the third, the figure of the Tropeiro, which represents the commercial vocation of the place.
The three statues are fixed at the top of a ramp, symbolizing the evolutionary growth of the city.
This tourist attraction is worth checking out.
