★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente lugar para visitar. Arte e cultura em uma universidade de ponta. O acervo é fantástico, sabe mesclar as vanguardas européias com a valorização da terra. O destaque de artistas locais do lado de mestres como Picasso e Miró ficou excelente. Um parabéns especial aos guias da exposição, todos estudantes da própria universidade. O preparo e a fluência em falar das mais diversas obras, estilos artísticos e também de como se situam no espaço-tempo é uma parte fundamental do passeio. Parabéns! Nota 10!
Excellent place to visit. Art and culture at a top university. The collection is fantastic, it knows how to mix the European avant-gardes with the appreciation of the land. Highlighting local artists alongside masters such as Picasso and Miró was excellent. A special congratulations to the exhibition guides, all students from the university itself. The preparation and fluency in talking about the most diverse works, artistic styles and also how they are situated in space-time is a fundamental part of the tour. Congratulations! Grade 10!

I love Mauc's exhibitions and how they manage to tell several stories, feelings in each room. My regret is the lack of resources that the museum suffers, it could be even better if it were recognized as it deserves!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excelente museu localizado próximo a reitoria da UFC. Tem uma exposição fixa com bastante história e cultura do Ceará. As demais exposições tem temáticas variadas e muito interessante. Não dispõem de estacionamento e nem uma cafetaria, mas possui uma farta opção gastronômica nas proximidades. Horário de funcionamento pode ser acessado pelo site.
Excellent museum located near the UFC rectory. It has a fixed exhibition with a lot of history and culture of Ceará. The other exhibitions have varied themes and are very interesting. They don't have parking or a cafeteria, but there are plenty of gastronomic options nearby. Opening hours can be accessed on the website.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This museum is definitely a wonderful attraction for everyone visiting or living in this city. It provides a great chance to admire and learn a little about the most famous local artists and painters and also about the local & regional traditional culture from the Northeast of Brazil. For instance, “xilogravura” and the regional sculpture made with clay. This museum has specially dedicated rooms for the most famous Brazilian and regional artists like “Descartes Gadelha”, “Xico da Silva” and “Aldemir Martins”, all of them with great pieces of art that make the visiting a very delightful experience. This museum also have a room dedicated to the pieces of art from some international painters.
The visit to this museum is free and happens during all the weekdays what helps the visitors to plan an schedule a visit.
P.S.: the “Xico da Silva” and “Aldemir Martins” paints are simply wonderful, mainly the colorful and creative drawings from the first and the cats from the second one.
