★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Basilica Imaculada Conceição me remete diretamente a minha infância. Foi meu primeiro colégio, onde fiz a rimeira comunhão, onde eu frequentava igreja católica com 05 aninos. Para mim, sempre foi um lugar sagrado e ícone. A Basilica localiza-se de forma imponente na enseada de Botafogo, dando mais charme a cidade do Rio de Janeiro.
 The Immaculate Conception Basilica takes me directly to my childhood. It was my first school, where I had my first communion, where I attended Catholic church when I was 5 years old. For me, it has always been a sacred and iconic place. The Basilica is located in an imposing way in the Botafogo cove, giving more charm to the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Igreja em estilo neogótico, demorou 12 anos para ter construção finalizada, em 1892. No interior as pinturas são inspiradas em monumentos góticos franceses.
Restos mortais da menina Odetinha, que morreu em 1939 aos 8 anos, vítima de doença infecciosa, estão na Igreja. Está em processo de canonização pelo Vaticano.
