No início deste ano de 2021 este portal registrou a indignação da população com relação ao estado de desprezo e abandono em que a obra se encontrava, apresentando desbotamento nas cores das tintas, pichado e com nítidas rachaduras na sua estrutura.
A sensibilidade da equipe administrativa que mantém a preservação do nosso patrimônio público aflorou e o nosso icônico Caju ganhou não só uma nova pintura no elemento em si e nas ilustrações nas suas laterias, com direito a iluminação destacando a obra, como também um paisagismo no entorno. Está todo novinho e digno de novamente ser alvo dos flashes.
Não só a memória cultural aracajuana foi valorizada, como também o respeito ao saudoso artista Eurico Luiz, que se mantém vivo através da sua arte! Salve!

One of the landmarks of our capital, the target of countless photographic records by tourists who land here, the Caju plant stuck at the head of the Coroa do Meio bridge, on Avenida Beira Mar, a work conceived and signed by the late artist Eurico Luiz (in memorian ), was finally revitalized by the public administration.
