★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esse chafariz é tombado pelo Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional. É uma peça histórica raríssima, foi comprado por D. Pedro II e construído por Louis Sauvageau na Áustria e fundido em Paris. Somente há três exemplares no mundo, esse do Rio, um que está no Jardim Inglês em Genebra, Suíça e outro na cidade de Troyes na França.
 This fountain is listed by the National Historical and Artistic Heritage. It is a very rare historical piece, it was bought by D. Pedro II and built by Louis Sauvageau in Austria and merged in Paris. There are only three specimens in the world, that of Rio, one that is in the English Garden in Geneva, Switzerland and another in the city of Troyes in France.
