Nice staff, but very small place.
Under the expectation, just good, don't delicious.
For low sugar sweets, try Kazu Cake. It is better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the MZ patisserie offers a very artisanal production of very inventive & tasty tarts sold by the slice.
incredibly good orange soft candies: a blast from the past!
the patisserie is, nevertheless, slightly overrated.
the shop is small, not really cozy with its industrial design look and 2 purposeless tables, since the joint it is not a café; the personnel is subpar and clearly the first victim of all the hype this patisserie had faced in the recent years.
it is shocking to see how the tarts are artlessy & carelessly left, frequently in pieces, in the vitrine and tossed, crumbling down, from the vitrine to your plate like it was slop.
nevertheless the tarts are good. I will try the MZ’s other address becs the pinheiros shop is not worth a 2nd visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We got the chocolate, pear, apple and 3-layer chocolate cake. The pear was the best one. Had a subtle citrus taste and was topped with a nut crumble that added a nice texture to the pie.
Great place for a coffee too.
A victim of their success. They have lots of customers and limited seating. The dirty dishes were piled up on all the tables for a while. They need more space and maybe more workers.
They don't appear to have a menu.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chanced upon this confeitaria while walking the streets looking for some coffee and sweets. Not many seats in this cafe, but we had a relaxing stop here. Ordered a cafe com leite and chocolate quente - both were good. But the winner of this has to be their Romeu e Julieta (Romeo & Juliet) cake! It is guava creme topped with catupiry cheese, and the combination was perfecto! Prices were also fair. Highly recommended!

Hopefully next time with more people to split a few pieces of pie..the lie was amazing and the café com leite was also, surprisingly, quite amazing itself. The café doesn’t have a ton of sitting room but it’s clean, bright, pleasant and has Wi-Fi. There were some gluten free options the day that I went.
