★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esta pequena capela era nincho na era da independência, para ela se voltaram todas as preces das mães aflitas e toda a esperança daqueles pescadores humildes que foram prenomes na nossa liberdade. Nossa Senhora da Piedade é a Padroeira de Itaparica. A igreja foi reedificada em 1923.
 This small chapel was a niche in the era of independence, where all the prayers of the afflicted mothers and all the hope of those humble fishermen who were the first names in our freedom turned to it. Nossa Senhora da Piedade is the patron saint of Itaparica. The church was rebuilt in 1923.
