★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful as a tourist at this place. Paid 255.96 Brazilian real (£39.37) for washing and ironing to be completed - ridiculously expensive. We only had two bags as we are travelling. The lady said it would take 2 days to complete. When we picked the washing up, although it looked well and the ironing was good, our clothes smelled absolutely awful. I can only guess that they had been left in the washing machine after the wash had finished. They smelt damp and did not smell at all fresh. They had also written on the blags in blue marker, which in turn transferred on to one of our expensive shirts. Unfortunately we did not have time to address this as we were leaving for our flight shortly after picking the washing up. Regardless of the quality, the price to wash 2 small bags of clothes was ridiculous (bear in mind we are travelling with no hold luggage) hence we do not have that many clothes. Following this we had to have our clothes re-washed when we arrived at our next destination. Maybe for locals they are good, but if you are a tourist I would stay clear of this place. I would recommend going somewhere where they weigh your clothes so you don’t get ripped off. Admittedly they were upfront about the cost (and took payment upfront), the only reason we went with this is due to lack of time to shop around for a better deal.
