Terrible. I bought an iPhone 11 presented a problem with 5 days, I waited 15 days to have the service because it is scheduled. I really arrived around the clock at around 15 minutes and was informed that there would be no way to be attended, as there is no time tolerance and it is necessary to arrive exactly at the scheduled time. In that case I would have to reschedule to wait for God knows how many days.

As a Mac user who frequently travels to Brazil, I was excited to see a new store servicing apple products open near my apartment in Salvador, Bahia. On past trips if I needed to buy something or use apple care, I would go to iTown in Shopping do Bahia (formerly Shopping Iguatemi). The service is excellent at iTown. They treat any customers that enters into the store with respect. This is where I will continue to go. This iPlace in shopping Barra is not a place for serious Mac users. It's pretty much a show case place, kind of like a novelty for locals who are attracted to the status of something apple, but beyond simple technical issues, their Genius Bar is not what a Mac user would expect in New York or São Paulo. Again iTown comes close. For example, when I went to the Genius Bar and used my limited Portuguese to explain a problem I was having with my new MacBook Pro, the women behind the Genius Bar laughed and started trying to correct my Portuguese. This has never happened at iTown. So I asked them if any of them spoke English, sense there seemed to be a problem with them understanding my Portuguese. They stopped laughing. So then I asked another guy, who when I opened my mouth to ask a question he rolled his eyes and walked away. Finally one guy spoke with me, he was very nice, and spoke with the first guy (who turned out to be the store's manager). The problem is an easy problem (I just need to reinstall OS Sierra). The manager said the problem is too complicated for them to fix, because they do not have an internet connection at that store (which is strange), and told me to go to another place where they would have to send my mac out for the re instillation and that would take 5 or 10 or maybe 2 days. He did not know. After this experience I talked to a local friend about what happened. Her response is that I look very Brooklyn, very Williamsburg to be exact. And that this mall is filled with very wealthy, conservative people who don't travel much. If you're someone (specifically an artist or a young intellectual) from an international urban center, like New York, Paris, London or even São Paulo, you're an alien to them. They just don't get who typical mac users actually are. They only have one stereotype in their heads, and she confirmed that the store is only there for show. All of this in comparison to iTown, which is low key and located next to a bookstore (the bookstore and iTown are the same company). So 1) if you are a foreigner that needs your mac or whatever fixed, go to iTown. 2) if you are a human and want to be treated with respect, go to iTown.
