★ ★ ★ ★ ★ O prédio está restaurado, tudo novinho e bonito. Porém fiquei um pouco frustrada porque não parece se tratar realmente de um museu histórico, é um lugar de exposições apenas, pelo menos no momento, pois não há um acervo próprio a ser visto. No dia em que visitei havia uma exposição sobre a princesa Isabel, muito boa, por sinal, mas pelo que o funcionário explicou, é temporária e haverá exposições periódicas apenas.
The building is restored, everything is new and beautiful. But I was a bit frustrated because it does not seem to be really a historical museum, it's an exhibition place only, at least at the moment, because there is no proper collection to be seen. On the day I visited there was an exhibition about Princess Isabel, very good, by the way, but from what the employee explained, it is temporary and there will be periodic exhibitions only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Na entrada é anunciado como Museu Genealógico de Caxambú. Pouco divulgado abrange peças de uma única família mas não deixa de valer a pena a visita. Adorei saber q a banheira de mármore exposta tem argolas esculpidas por acreditarem q mto banho mataria a pessoa.
At the entrance it is advertised as the Genealogical Museum of Caxambu. Little publicized, it covers pieces from a single family, but it is still worth the visit. I loved knowing that the exposed marble bathtub has rings sculpted because they believe that too much bath would kill the person.
