★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alternative and independent movies you can watch here. The bar and Cafe is cozy and has a glass facade with view for and from Paulista avenue.
Prices a bit high for food and the place would look better after some redecoration.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of my favourites cinemas in SP. They have a great selection of films - most of them not blockbusters - and the rooms are small and cosy. Most attendants are highly interested in watching the films so you won't be having troubles with popcorn noises.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located underneath the Gazeta building. There's a bookstore and a coffee shop. Bookstore offers an interesting assortment of books. Good to kill some time while waiting for the movie to start. Screens are a bit small, seats are placed in a way that feels cramped. By the way, you need to observe your seat numbers when purchasing tickets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well located this theater have nice prices and a culture of "no noise in the movie room", so when they opened they didn't even sell popcorn. Nowadays it's on their menu, but I'm not sure if always.
They do screen 3D movies! :)
But the glasses I got to watch the Lion King were too tight and I had headache afterwards.
The only negative thing about Reserva Cultural is their movie screen size. It seemed little to me (room 01).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice, cozy, alternative movie cinema. Probably the best in town for catching the new Goddard or Polanski. Has a pretty snack place inside, but is prohibitively expensive for what they offer. Movie tickets are affordable. If you are planning to catch a movie during "prime time", try to buy online, to avoid lines. Enjoyable way to spend an afternoon.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice cinema with 4 small rooms, showing worldy movies mostly, which is a good thing. There is enough cinemas with blockbusters. The selection of movies is usually very good. It is a bit expensive, though. The café has some nice treats, too, tending to the French patisserie.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good and cozy place. There are seats outside the movie rooms, a restaurant, a cafe, a movie store and restrooms. The seats are not pre-defined, so you need to stay in line before the movie to get a good seat.
