Um lugar que já teve mais de 9mil escravos, hoje tem menos de 400 habitantes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar muito especial e importante de conhecer, se você está interessado na parte histórica. É gratuito. Vá até o cemitério bizantino de Iguatu e , se frente pra igreja, pega a sua direita. É só ir reto.
Very special and important place to know if you are interested in the historical part. It is free. Go to the Byzantine Cemetery of Iguatu and, facing the church, turn right. Just go straight.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muito legal e interessante conhecer a história dos garimpeiros que passaram por Igatu. Existe um pequeno museu perto das ruínas que cobra um valor simbólico de R$ 5. Vale a visita.
Obs: a estrada para entrar na cidade de Igatu é bem ruizinho, cheia de pedras, estreita e com subidas e descidas. O ideal é visitar com calma e ir cedo para conhecer a cidade sem pressa.
Quem tiver mais tempo, vale a pena se hospedar para conhecer outras atrações por lá.
