★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was tasty. Service was incredibly disorganized - took 10 minutes to seat us despite a reservation, and another 20 to take out order. On a Tuesday! Food was good, albeit expensive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location on the Quadrado, tasty moqueca, but questionable practices. We were handed the menu in Portuguese when we arrived but ended up chatting with the waiter in English during dinner. The bill came with higher prices than shown on the menu so we asked to check the price. This time we were given the English menu which had higher prices than the Portuguese version. Trancoso is like this everywhere so be aware of when to push back on pricing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I never imagined there is such a nice place! This restaurant is really great and the tables around a big tree is really beatiful. Plates here are also great. All surroundings here is much better than Salvador, Parate or Ilha bella.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent food and service. They had live music which added a lot to the ambience. Service is a bit slow, but it's a laid back place so who cares. The mojceca is one of their signature dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, we ordered the fish wrapped in palm leaves dish for two, it was a lot of food for the two of us. Baden Baden golden beer was delicious! Highly recommend it. The palm leaf spicy oil was very hot and delicious!
