★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar fica lotado, musica alta, churrasco, sujeira, desordem... Fora as cobras. Não recomendo, tem muitas outras cachoeiras melhores nas redondezas.
 Place gets crowded, loud music, barbecue, dirt, disorder... Aside from the snakes. I don't recommend it, there are many other better waterfalls in the vicinity.

Lembre-se de juntar seu Lixinho e não deixar na trilha! Cuide da Natureza! O planeta agradece!
Perfect place, easy access to the trail and well signposted and there is no better contact with nature than being on it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lugar lindo, com poços de água esculpidos na pedra. O lugar é raso, não dá para mergulhar. Mas é excelente para relaxar com a família e curtir uma hidromassagem natural nas costas, onde a água vai mais forte.
Beautiful place, with water wells carved into the stone. The place is shallow, you can't dive. But it is excellent to relax with the family and enjoy a natural whirlpool on the back, where the water goes stronger.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ É uma cachoeira de fácil acesso até pra quem vai de carro, uns 5 minutos de trilha até a cachoeira, achei super divertida, tem uma corda para escorregar só tem que tomar cuidado com as pedras e a força da água. Obs: atenção ao topo da montanha por causa da chuva e possibilidade de tromba d'água.
It's a waterfall with easy access even for those who go by car, a 5 minute trail to the waterfall, I thought it was super fun, there's a rope to slide, just be careful with the rocks and the force of the water. Note: pay attention to the top of the mountain because of the rain and the possibility of a waterspout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local incrível :) dá para se ter acesso pelos dois lados: Primeiro para quem está na estrada da barreira (Onde se localiza a famosa cachoeira do "Rogerius") descendo essa rua verá um outdoor escrito Acesso ao Vale da Lua, que dá acesso através de uma casa (precisa pagar para entrar/usar a casa e chegar de maneira rápida e fácil direto no vale da lua. (Valores a conferir acredito que dá última vez estava 10$ p/ pessoa).
Segunda forma é indo por guapi, é uma volta maior mas também dá para se chegar de veículos sem problemas, é só pegar a estrada do "Limoeiro" e seguir ela até o final no final terá onde estacionar o carro e seguir por uma trilha onde dará em várias cachoeiras e é nessa trilha que anda-se mais 10-15 minutinhos se chega ao Vale da Lua.
Incredible place :) you can access it from both sides: First, for those who are on the barrier road (where the famous "Rogerius" waterfall is located) down this street you will see a billboard written Access to the Moon Valley, which gives access through of a house (you need to pay to enter/use the house and get quickly and easily straight to the moon valley. (Values to check, I believe last time it was 10$ p/person).
The second way is going by guapi, it's a longer loop but you can also get there by vehicle without any problems, just take the "Limoeiro" road and follow it until the end, at the end you'll have a place to park the car and follow a trail where you will come across several waterfalls and it is on this trail that you walk another 10-15 minutes to reach Vale da Lua.

Anda um bom pedaço até chegar na cachoeira , mas vale muito a pena .
Para aqueles que vão conhecer , tomem cuidado nas pedras , pois as mesmas são bem escorregadias , podendo provocar acidentes de grande gravidade.
Levem sacolas para retirar os lixos , embalagens , garrafas e etc.
Divirtam se muito, aproveite o dia e se conecta com a natureza respeitando sempre.

Walk a long way until you reach the waterfall, but it's really worth it.
For those who are going to know, be careful on the rocks, as they are very slippery and can cause serious accidents.
Take bags to remove garbage, packaging, bottles and so on.
Have lots of fun, enjoy the day and connect with nature while always respecting.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pra quem gosta de aventura, trilhas, cachoeiras, natureza, esse é o lugar. Saímos de Niterói/RJ bem cedo. Não recomendo pegar a estrada de Magé, vale mais a pena ir pelo Rio. Tanto o Waze como o Google Maps mandam ir por Magé. Estrada ruim, muitos caminhões, passa por dentro de Guapimirim, muitos quebra-molas. Chegando no centro de Guapimirim, você tem 2 opções para ir até a cachoeira do Vale da Lua: pela estrada do Limoeiro ou seguir pela Serra de Teresópolis em direção ao Rogerio's Bar. Pela estrada do Limoeiro, passa os condomínios Alfha I, Alfha II e Condomínio Rancho do Limoeiro. Continue subindo até chegar no muro alto com a placa Bar do Tio Ruy. Estacione por alí e siga em direção a um portão de ferro com a placa ACESSO A CACHOEIRA VALE DA LUA. Passa por uma casa em ruínas, desce até avistar o rio e as pedras. Pegue a trilha à direita, sempre seguindo o cano d'água preto no chão. Cuidado pois tem muita árvore caída na trilha, embora o caminho pareça às vezes intransitável, é o caminho certo. Basta acompanhar o cano d'água e ir beirando o rio. A segunda opção (pelo Rogerio's Bar) é mais fácil. Estacione próximo ao restaurante (comida muito boa, quilo R$51,80) e poderá escolher 3 cachoeiras: Vale da Lua, Escorrega e Poço UgaUga. Fomos nas três cachoeiras mas o Vale da Lua foi a que mais gostamos. Água límpida, esverdeada, os buracos nas pedras que lembram as crateras da lua. Um passeio maravilhoso, no meio da natureza. Fizemos um bate e volta. Chegamos na trilha às 8h40 e passamos o dia todo, retornando às 16h. Super recomendo.
For those who like adventure, trails, waterfalls, nature, this is the place. We left Niterói/RJ very early. I do not recommend taking the road to Magé, it is better to go through Rio. Both Waze and Google Maps tell you to go through Magé. Bad road, lots of trucks, passes through Guapimirim, lots of speed bumps. Arriving in the center of Guapimirim, you have 2 options to go to the Vale da Lua waterfall: along the Limoeiro road or follow the Serra de Teresópolis towards Rogerio's Bar. On the Limoeiro road, passes the condominiums Alpha I, Alpha II and Condomínio Rancho do Limoeiro. Keep going up until you reach the high wall with the sign Bar do Tio Ruy. Park there and head towards an iron gate with the sign ACESSO A CACHOEIRA VALE DA LUA. You pass a house in ruins, go down until you see the river and the rocks. Take the trail to the right, always following the black water pipe on the ground. Be careful as there are many fallen trees on the trail, although the path seems impassable at times, it is the right one. Just follow the water pipe and go along the river. The second option (through Rogerio's Bar) is easier. Park near the restaurant (very good food, R$51.80 kilo) and you can choose 3 waterfalls: Vale da Lua, Escorrega and Poço UgaUga. We went to the three waterfalls but Vale da Lua was the one we liked the most. Clear, greenish water, the holes in the rocks that resemble the craters of the moon. A wonderful walk in the middle of nature. We did a back and forth. We arrived on the trail at 8:40 am and spent the whole day, returning at 4:00 pm. I highly recommend.
