★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good Bacalhau grelhado. Executive lunch is plentiful enough for two to share and affordable for the quality of food. Service is very good and responsive. Fun place on a street corner to people watch, and easy walk to Copacabana beach.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just finished an amazing dinner here at O Peixe Vivo. We had Sauvignon Blanc from Chile and for appetizers, their onion soup which my partner said was absolutely delicious and the camarao empanada which was very tasty as well. For our main entree, we had the seafood paella and the sea bass. Finally we had banana flambe for dessert. It was fascinating to see how different they do it compared to New Orleans but still oh-so-good. Best of all, our server Pedro/Peter was sooo attentive and great. Recommend this place very much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great seafood restaurant in the heart of Copacabana! Reasonably priced and staff are very helpful with suggestions and explanations if you are new to brazilian culture. You do not feel the atmosphere is touristy, you feel that you are at a local joint with local people all around.
Their pastures are to die for! Papaya dessert was also wonderful!
I had an appetizer, main dish for two, drinks and desserts for 140 brazilian which is really a great deal.
I'll go back next time I'm in Rio and would highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent seafoods at reasonable price! I especially like the Sopa Leão Veloso, which is a Brazilian version of French bouillabaisse. The restaurant ambience is so-so but there are sitting on the terrace, which is great on a sunny day. It can get pretty crowded on weekend lunch time. Credit card accepted but the waiters speak little English.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not bad. One portion is enough for two people but still overpriced. Breaded prawns not recommended. Crab soup was very good. They didn't have any oysters the day I came

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Average! Should be way better…service pretty good & wine selection but I reckon our fish was frozen…not good enough for Supposedly seafood restaurant…
Suspect their clients don’t have the palette to tell the difference sadly… wish them the best for the future tho.
