I called from the US and ordered a delicious pie for my mother’s birthday. After 40 minutes my mom called to thank for the surprise. Excellent service and fast delivery . Highly recommend

Great place to have breakfast. I got quiche and it was fresh and delicious. It will be my default breakfast place in Rio de Janeiro.

Something like an American Deli transported to Copacabana, The Bakers serves a comprehensive menu of Soups, Salads and Sandwiches in addition to Sweets and Breads, though prices trend a bit higher than other similar shops nearby. Established in 1994 by Europeans, and still operated independently by the same family across four location including Centro and Ipanema, it is form 09h00 daily that guests will find The Bakers ready for service, entry to Rua Santa Clara 86 finding air full of the smell of Yeast as options span across cases and counters to the right. Offering a full menu in addition to globally inspired confections, the sizable seating area carefully watched over by a middle-aged man who otherwise busied himself with arranging shelves of packaged goods, it was after perusing options that a six-piece order was requested, Corn Cake in the local style of Pudding undeniably the best tasted in Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo while a round of Manioc and Coconut was also delicious and plenty moist. Less impressed by Pastel de Nata, doughy Crust and overcooked Custard both a far cry from Brazil’s Portuguese bakeries, The Bakers’ packaged Dulce de Leche Biscuit was enjoyable albeit less-so than the Milhojas while a Croissant overstuffed with Nutella was rich but unexceptional thanks to a lack of proofing that results in compromised lamination.

If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place for you! This popular place has amazing sweets, baked goods, and also serves other food items, too. Croissants are not typical flaky kind but instead stuffed with lots of chocolate, drizzled with more chocolate, and topped with glazed strawberries, so it's a lot more heavy than what us Europe and Americans expect. The cappuccino comes sweetened so you need to ask for it without sugar if you want it that way. The quiche was delicious but it is way more cheesy than eggy and has a LOT of garlic. I was also given a free "matte," which is a south American sweet iced tea. Servers know just a little English and menus are not in English, but with Google Translate we were able to survive.

The best cheesecake I’ve had in a long time! All kinds of delicious foods! Also had a tasty chicken sandwich and salad. Will be going there frequently for the next few days to try out new food?
