★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything about tiny cat cafe is perfect. The size, the food options, the coffee selection (Meow Coffee ftw), and the staff (Hi, Matheus - miss you)!
It’s a great space to get work done with reliable internet, connect with other travelers and just vibe with the folks who work there!
Definitely a must visit - unfortunately, there are no actual cats there… but the cat mugs and cat cookies make up for it ??❤️✨

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disclaimer, I am a Rio local married to a foreigner. This place charges tourist prices, and there were no locals there.
The coffee is excellent, that's a fact. The deco and whole ambience are very nice. There are cat details absolutely everywhere, including cups and cutlery. It's adorable.
Now for the star deductions: the food (or the 2 items we had) were disappointing. I had a Tapioca, and although the filling tasted good, the outside was very dry (I've had better from food trucks all over town). My wife had a very expensive avocado toast with mushrooms. I'm not sure if it was the toast or the guacamole or the mushrooms, but the restaurant used an oil which was turning rancid, rendering the whole tost barely eatable. Really disappointing.
I'd go back for a coffee though, and maybe consider eating something else to give the place a chance for redemption. But that's my review for now.
UPDATE:
As promised I have returned for yet another delicious cup of coffee. The coffee here really is delicious. We had a piece of tasty cake, too.
The service is still very friendly. So credit where it's due. One more star added.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First of all, I expected real cats ? but of course, just an expectation. Didn’t really do my research on that. I heard about it because some nomads were chatting about a cafe in Copacabana where you can sit and work and this was recommended.
Coffee is good! Didn’t taste watered down or burnt. Quite decent.
The staff are sooooooo nice and warm. The one lady speaks English for those who can’t speak Portuguese.
The area is small but not cramped. Definitely limited tables so it might get crowded on “peak nomad hours”, which I’m not sure of really but can guess what it would be like.
Only thing I didn’t like was the tiramisu I ordered. That wasn’t tiramisu ? will try other desserts another time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As an American and really tired from my travels, this was the first place I visited in Rio. I was so happy the staff spoke English! They helped me with Portuguese pronunciations and made me feel at home. The cat theme is adorable and, ironically, I’m highly allergic to cats. Normally a cat place would not interest me but this one did. (No real cats there). The white chocolate mocha was perfect. Hot chocolate very rich. Banana cake fantastic. And air conditioned. Very comfortable. Reasonable prices. I will definitely go again!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice coffee shop with extensive menu and many coffee styles and ways of coffee preparation. Taste is very good. They also have few choices of coffee beans to take home with good description. Desserts also look good and probably are worth trying (especially brownie).
