Christian Trumpf adquire com dois sócios a oficina mecânica da Julius Geiger GmbH em Stuttgart. O primeiro logotipo da empresa indica o produto da empresa – cabos flexíveis. Eles são fabricados inicialmente só para utilização por dentistas e indústria tipográfica. Com o desenvolvimento do acionamento motorizado, eles também são produzidos e vendidos para fins industriais, para o processamento de metal e madeira.
